Cloud Financial Operations Lead

About the Job
  • Engage directly with clients, delivering insightful cost intelligence observations and participating actively in discussions concerning cost growth factors and solutions.
  • Play a key role in guiding clients through their cloud financial operations journey, offering guidance and assistance in making well-informed decisions regarding their financial operations.
  • Manage a spectrum of discussions, ranging from resource utilization conversations with engineering teams to strategizing tagging approaches within operations, addressing finance-related COGS matters, and analyzing unit cost trends with high-level executives.
Key Responsibilities:Mandatory Skills
  • Advanced/fluent English skills - Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid experience consulting on AWS, GCP, and/or Azure services and solutions.
  • Previous experience developing, documenting, and/or communicating financial analysis and optimization recommendations for cloud services with both tech and finance teams.
  • Knowledge of spend/resource reservations across various clouds.
  • Previous experience with tagging/labeling strategies.
  • Solid background in analyzing complex datasets in Excel using advanced concepts like vlookups, index matches, named ranges, pivot tables.
Nice to Haves
  • FinOps Certified Practitioner.
  • At least one AWS, GCP, or Azure Certification.
  • Previous experience with BI dashboards (Quicksight, Looker, Domo, Tableau, etc.)
  • Experience authoring SQL.
  • Understanding of GAAP accounting.
