We are seeking a highly skilled Pore Pressure Senior Specialist to join our team in Exploration & Production International. As a key member of our Brazil subsurface team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient development of our operated and non-operated asset base, bringing forward regional value capture opportunities, and helping grow our low-carbon solutions business.
The Role
- Assess pore pressure, subsurface stresses, and fracture gradients from petrophysical and seismic data.
- Develop and optimize large, operated assets with a proven track record.
- Design field data acquisition to address knowledge gaps about rock mechanics parameters for both reservoir and sealing rock.
- Estimate pore pressure and create 1D/2D geomechanical models for well-planning and construction.
- Participate in relevant wellbore stability studies and overburden evaluations.
- Take responsible for risk management related to wellbore stability.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Geology or Engineering (CREA is required). Master's degree is considered a plus.
- 10-15 years of experience in pore pressure estimation, wellbore stability, and subsurface data analysis.
- Fluent English spoken and written.
- Expertise in designing field data acquisition and pore pressure estimation.
- Proven hands-on experience in pre-salt fields, especially with a focus on salt creeping.
- A strong knowledge of subsurface/drilling data, work processes, and engineering practices.
