Key Responsibilities
The role involves working within the Motor Recoveries team, focusing predominantly on Claimant matters.
Depending on team workloads, the selected candidate will be tasked with:
- Conducting general recovery tasks, including investigatory and litigation activities across all fast and multi-track files.
- Investigating liability, third-party claims, customer interactions, and coverage-related recoveries.
- Managing an individual caseload, which includes negotiating settlement amounts and damages with third parties.
- Gathering witness statements, contacting relevant parties for essential documents, drafting letters of claim, initiating proceedings, ensuring disclosure, instructing Counsel/experts, and progressing cases through to trial.
Candidate Profile
- Must be a Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive, or possess substantial pre-qualification experience.
- Willingness to learn about legislation and case law, particularly regarding contract law, tort, and Road Traffic Collisions.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients, intermediaries, and colleagues.
- Ability to critically analyze factual evidence, identify key legal arguments, and apply them effectively.
- Demonstrated commitment, enthusiasm, and a professional demeanor.
- Exhibits commercial awareness, resilience, and confidence.
- Aligns with the Firm's Cultural Principles (Clear, Creative, Determined, and Supportive).
