Job Title: Cloud Computing Infrastructure Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Cloud Computing Infrastructure Specialist to join our team. This role involves hands-on support for our Data Center location, where you will work on building and maintaining a Cloud Computing Infrastructure across multiple local and remote locations in the Americas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Triage and repair data center fiber optic cabling and network hardware
  • Troubleshoot Network installation and configuration
  • Coordinate remote hands for new capacity installations
  • Resolve data center facility issues
  • Coordinate remote hands and eyes for any data center network issues
  • Participate in small to mid-size projects creating or expanding data centers
  • Build relationships with remote facilities to ensure swift response times to events
  • Perform site audits to ensure safety and quality meets standards
  • Improve all Operational Processes and Security with each site
  • Update AWS tools
  • Provide status updates to stakeholders
  • Decommission cabling and network hardware as needed

Requirements:

  • 4+ years working in a data center operations environment
  • Excellent knowledge of server hardware, Linux, UNIX administration, and copper/fiber optic testing/cabling standards
  • Understanding of TCP/IP networks, distributed and service-oriented architectures, LEAN, Sigma, and Operational Excellence knowledge and/or proficiency
  • Proficiency with MS Office, MS Project, and SQL
  • Excellent prioritization and time management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
