Backend Engineer Position
AgileEngine is seeking a skilled professional to assume the role of Backend Engineer. This individual will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing software solutions from given requirements.
- Design scalable, efficient, and reliable backend services using Java and other relevant technologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement software engineering solutions that meet business objectives.
- Maintain and improve existing backend services to ensure high performance and scalability.
Requirements include:
Essential Qualifications:- 6+ years of hands-on experience in architecting, implementing, and delivering software engineering solutions from set product requirements.
- 2+ years of experience in leading software development work in some capacity.
- Deep experience with Java, including knowledge of design patterns, architecture, and best practices.
- Experience with Kotlin, distributed messaging brokers, and event streaming platforms such as RabbitMQ, ZeroMQ, or Kafka.
- Proficiency in Git version control system and comfortable working with a fully remote team.
- Upper-Intermediate English level.
- Experience with dependency injection frameworks, JavaScript, WebSocket, microservice architectures, and distributed NoSQL databases.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Node.js applications.
- B.S. degree in Computer Science or equivalent from an accredited institution.
