Junior Legal Advisor

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Legal Advisor to join our in-house legal team. As a Junior Legal Advisor, you will play a key role in providing legal support to various internal clients across the company, including our sales organization.

The successful candidate will have a strong academic track record, a degree in law, JD or equivalent, and active license to practice law or current progress towards that. You will also have drive and a track record of going above-and-beyond expectations, strong organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-cultural environment.

The ideal candidate will be effective both independently and as part of a team, have a passion for technology evidenced by personal initiatives and projects, and professional written and spoken English with excellent drafting and presentation skills.

You will also be confident to respectfully speak up, exchange feedback, and share ideas without hesitation, appreciative of diversity; polite and effective in a multicultural multinational organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts with customers and vendors in many countries across the globe
  • Provide legal support to various internal clients across the company, including Canonical's sales organization
  • Interface with cross-functional teams to support company initiatives
  • Utilize Canonical's contract management system to ensure accurate data is maintained for signed contracts
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • An exceptional academic track record from both high school and university
  • A degree in law, JD or equivalent, and active license to practice law or current progress towards that
  • Drive and a track record of going above-and-beyond expectations
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-cultural environment
