Staff Data Platform Specialist

As a Staff Data Platform Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless data delivery across multiple environments. This involves designing and maintaining scalable data infrastructure, managing internal tools for data ingestion and processing, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance, reliability, and scalability of the data platform.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Data Infrastructure Development:
  • Create and maintain scalable data platforms on AWS, Kubernetes, EMR, Redshift, Glue, and other relevant technologies.
  • Implement secure, automated CI/CD pipelines for platform components and infrastructure-as-code.
  • Collaboration and Leadership:
  • Work closely with DevOps and Security teams to guarantee high availability, performance, and observability of core data infrastructure.
  • Act as a technical leader, supporting engineers in developing solutions and promoting best practices in data engineering and DataOps.
  • Tech Stack Proficiency:
  • Expertise in big data tools (Spark, Redshift), relational databases (Postgres), advanced SQL, data modeling, and data warehousing.
  • Hands-on experience with Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD tools.
  • Proficiency in Python programming and workflow orchestration using Airflow.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, fostering integration and alignment across areas.
  • Strong communication skills to translate complex technical concepts into accessible language for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, IT, or related technical field.
  • Proven experience designing and building large-scale data pipelines, architectures, and datasets.
  • Advanced English skills and ability to communicate effectively in a global environment.
