Data Architect Position

Our organization is seeking an experienced Data Architect to design and implement data solutions that support big data processing and integrate them into our current infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • We are looking for a skilled professional who can design conceptual, logical, and physical data models to support efficient data storage and retrieval.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience with cloud-based data platforms, including Azure Data Factory and Synapse (3+ years), and lead a distributed team.
  • They should be able to build robust and scalable ETL/ELT pipelines to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into data lakes or data warehouses.
  • The candidate will be responsible for integrating data from disparate sources, including databases, APIs, and external data providers, using appropriate techniques such as API integration or message queuing.
  • Proficiency in designing and implementing data warehousing solutions (dimensional modeling, star schemas, Data Mesh, Data/Delta Lakehouse, Data Vault) is essential.
  • The professional should be proficient in SQL to perform complex queries, data transformations, and performance tuning on cloud-based data storages.
  • Experience in integrating metadata and governance processes into cloud-based data platforms is required.

Requirements:

  • A strong background in designing and implementing data models is necessary.
  • Experience with cloud-based analytical databases is essential.
  • Familiarity with Azure MI, Azure Database for Postgres, Azure Cosmos DB, Azure Analysis Services, and Informix is required.
  • Proficiency in Python and Python-based ETL tools is desired.
  • English language proficiency: B2 Upper Intermediate level is required.
