Senior Data Scientist Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Scientist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about working with complex data sets, communicating their findings to business owners, and driving strategic decision making.

The role involves developing and implementing analytical models, designing experiments, and interpreting results to draw actionable conclusions. You will also be responsible for building simulations to project the impact of various product interventions and enabling objective decision making across the company by democratizing data through dashboards and other analytical tools.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Developing statistical models to extract trends, measure results, and predict future performance
  • Designing rigorous experiments and interpreting results to draw detailed conclusions

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Advanced degree in quantitative fields such as Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Operations Research, or Engineering
  • Advanced experience developing Machine learning models (supervised, unsupervised)
  • Knowledge of a variety of machine learning techniques and their real-world advantages/drawbacks
  • Strong programming skills in Python and PySpark, comfortable with version control tools like Git, and knowledge of cloud environments like AWS
  • Experience working in Big Data Analytical environments/technologies (Hadoop, Spark)
  • Ability to write complex, efficient SQL queries to extract data
  • 7+ years of related industry experience
