International Courier Driver

In this role, you will be responsible for providing courier services to customers on a daily basis, including driving, customer service, and completing related administration or paperwork.

1. Deliver and pick up packages and documents efficiently and safely, representing the company in a professional manner.
2. Operate non-articulated vehicles safely and efficiently, adhering to governmental and corporate procedures.
3. Select and inspect assigned packages accurately and timely, reporting stop counts and miss-sorts.
4. Seek additional business from current customers, attempt to gain new business, and inform the sales department of significant changes in customer use or competitor actions.
5. Answer customer questions on FedEx features of service and keep customers informed about the company and its services.
6. Ensure packages conform to FedEx features of service, proper labeling is provided, and all paperwork is complete, neat, and accurate.
7. Determine the legality of packages, including special requirements for dangerous goods and international shipments, and separate packages by service type and destination according to established procedures.
8. Scan packages according to prescribed procedures and demonstrate proficiency in features of service and equipment.
9. Ensure customers have an adequate supply of FedEx materials for shipping.
10. Meet aircraft and transport packages as required for sorting operations.
11. Load and unload company vehicles and operate mechanized ramp equipment to load and unload packages.
12. Clean, wash, and perform minor maintenance to company vehicles as necessary and maintain a neat and clean personal appearance to uphold the company's public image.

Minimum Education: High School diploma/equivalent

Minimum Experience: One (1) year professional driving experience

Minimum Required Skills:

• Driver's License Type B or A4 or A2 Vintage
• Ability to lift 70 lbs. (25kgs) and to maneuver packages weighing up to 150 lbs. (68kgs) with appropriate equipment
• Good verbal and writing communication skills, human relations, and team player
• Must be able to successfully complete Reading, Map Reading, Sorting, and math sections of the Basic Skills Test
