Operational Support Specialist

This role involves providing administrative support to front-line operations, which may include data entry, ramp activities, sort activities, trace activities, dispatch activities, and local customer service.

The majority of the time is spent on office-based activities. Lead or senior levels of these positions may handle escalated or more complex issues, coordinate team activities, support supervisor or manager activities, and contribute to the design, review, and implementation of processes and procedures.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Receipt, release, and shipment of cargo
  • Support in defining, reviewing, implementing, and improving organizational processes, operational flows, and performance indicators
  • Issuing reports of loads in the warehouse and en route of vendors drivers with daily accountability of operational activities and routines
  • Coordination of operational teams activities
  • Monitoring vendors drivers activities
  • Control and handling of pending issues and returns
  • Monitoring of indicators and accountability to management and external customers

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • A high school diploma/equivalent
  • Proficiency in English
  • A valid driver's license and good driving record
  • Clerical experience (at least one year)

You will also need to possess:

  • Data entry and general office skills
  • Good human relations, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • A clear and articulate speaking voice
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Microsoft Office and PC skills, particularly Excel
  • Planning and organizing skills
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Basic notions of monitoring and analysis of indicators and customer service
