Software Development Engineer, Cloud Learning Solutions

A leading innovator is seeking a skilled software development engineer to join its fast-paced innovation team. The ideal candidate will collaborate with architects, artists, designers, engineers, and testers responsible for designing, developing, and operating highly technical cloud learning solutions that utilize hands-on labs, virtual environments, and interactive simulations to deliver practical skills training.

The software development engineer will partner with fellow backend engineers to build cloud services platforms, collaborate with Unity3d engineers to create engaging gameplays, cooperate with designers and artists to develop an end-to-end visual experience, and assist learning architects and instructional designers in mapping learning objectives and game elements to deliver a unique cloud learning experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to design, develop, maintain, and operate multiple cloud learning products;
  • Drive system architecture and promote best practices to produce high-quality cloud learning solutions;
  • Partner with technical and business stakeholders to influence long-term strategy and establish the team's roadmap;
  • Make data-driven decisions by leveraging industry landscape, user feedback, and telemetry data;
  • Write high-quality code.

What You'll Need:

  • 3+ years of professional software development experience;
  • 2+ years of experience in designing or architecting new and existing systems;
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C++, or C#;
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English.

Bonus Points:

  • Experience with full software development life cycle;
  • Background in games industry (supporting title development, release, or live ops);
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
