Job Description:

The role of Human Resources Manager is a strategic and key position within our organization, responsible for providing HR leadership and support to the ADMAT/HPP/SS division in Brazil.

This dynamic leader will report directly to the Regional HR Partner - ADMAT and will be responsible for implementing plans and actions in alignment with global and regional HR initiatives, policies, and procedures.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing clear HR strategy for Brazil, ensuring its alignment to business strategy and priorities;
  • Serving as HR Business Partner for ADMAT, HPP, and Shared Services in Brazil, supporting business objectives;
  • Supporting divisional and shared services leadership in Brazil, handling people-related issues, determining best solutions in HR practices;
  • Providing functional leadership/direction to the Brazil HR team on topics such as Change Management, Talent Bank, Performance Management, Benefits, Pension Fund, Compensation & Salary Administration, Labor Relations, etc.
  • Effectively managing costs and people-related expenses, preparing and monitoring HR budget;
  • Monitoring HR best practices, implementing them as feasible and in accordance with Huntsman practices;
  • Maintaining employees' database locally, ensuring data privacy and accuracy in Workday;
  • Developing the HR team through participating in company-provided and external training;
  • Acting as a member of the Brazil leadership team, actively participating in meetings and strategy discussions;
  • Actively participating in labor contract negotiations, building and maintaining positive relationship with union leaders;
  • Supporting and driving engagement and positive culture at the site;
  • Developing and executing strategies to attract, retain, and develop talent, including succession planning and leadership development programs;
  • Managing employee relations issues, including conflict resolution, performance management, disciplinary actions, while maintaining positive work environment;
  • Ensuring compliance with policies and legal requirements as it pertains to EHS, Quality programs, employment regulations, etc.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or other relevant degree, with specialization in HR preferred;
  • Minimum 7 years in HR Management as an HR generalist;
  • Fluent English and Portuguese, Spanish desirable;
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills;
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and deadlines;
  • Experience with HRIS systems, preferably Workday;
  • Knowledge of Brazilian labor laws and regulations;
  • Certification in HR, preferably SHRM-CP or HRCI-SPHR;
  • Leadership experience, preferably in HR field;
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills;
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders;
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of organizational goals and objectives;
  • Ability to drive change and implement new processes and systems.
