They should also have a deep understanding of the Linux ecosystem, including graphics drivers, kernel architecture, and related technologies.

About This Role
  • Lead a Team of Talented Engineers: Manage a high-performing team of engineers responsible for optimizing and expanding the Ubuntu gaming experience.
  • Drive Innovation and Excellence: Develop and implement strategies to improve performance, security, and user experience across various hardware platforms.
  • Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with internal stakeholders, upstream projects, and partners to ensure seamless integration and alignment with company objectives.
  • Conduct Code Reviews: Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure adherence to quality standards, modern design principles, and best practices.
Requirements
  • Technical Leadership: Proven track record of technical leadership, with expertise in managing complex projects and teams.
  • Linux Expertise: In-depth knowledge of the Linux operating system, including graphics drivers, kernel architecture, and related technologies.
  • Project Management: Exceptional project management skills, with experience in leading cross-functional teams and delivering projects on time.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
