Genetic Engineer for Microbial Metabolic Optimization

We are seeking a highly skilled Genetic Engineer to develop and apply genetic engineering strategies for microorganisms with biocontrol potential.
This is an exciting opportunity for a talented professional to contribute to the advancement of genetic optimization and metabolic engineering in microbial systems.
Main Responsibilities:- Design, develop, and implement tools for precision genetic optimization and heterologous/homologous gene expression in model and non-model microorganisms.
- Develop and apply genetic modification strategies to modulate metabolic pathways in model and non-model microorganisms with a focus on pathogen control.
- Design vectors for genetic modification and gene expression (heterologous/homologous) in microorganisms using multiple genetic engineering techniques.
- MSc and/or PhD in Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Microbiology or related fields.
- Proven experience with genetic engineering techniques, including genetic editing, cloning, and heterologous/homologous expression.
- Ability to develop and apply molecular tools for genetic engineering of model and non-model organisms.
- Experience with CRISPR/Cas9 technology and other genetic editing tools.
- Knowledge of microbial genetics and metabolism.
- Strong understanding of genetic engineering principles and applications.
