Job Summary:

Bridge Maintenance Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Bridge Maintenance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our infrastructure maintenance team, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of various structures including bridges, culverts, and bridge fender systems.

  • Maintain and repair highway structures including concrete, structural steel, welding, expansion joints, carpentry, and painting as required.
  • Create safe Maintenance of Traffic (M.O.T.) control by setup and removal of traffic control devices including cones, message/arrow boards, temporary signage, etc.
  • Repair/maintain functionality of bridge and culvert slopes, berms, drains, etc. through use of shovels and other hand or power tools and equipment.
  • Control vegetation appearance and growth through use of lawn mowing equipment, hard or power trimmers, and chemical sprayers and other methods.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Must be comfortable working from heights in bucket trucks, snooper trucks, scaffolding, ladders, and aerial platforms lifts.
  • Repairs/maintains bridge and culvert slopes, berms, drains, etc.
  • Transports crew and equipment to work sites operating vehicle large trucks and specialized motor vehicles and trailers.
  • Required to be available for emergency response rotations as needed for overtime, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements:

  • HS Diploma or GED (required)
  • One-year work experience in construction, maintenance, and repair (preferred)
  • CDL, DOT certifications, Electrical and Welding Certifications (highly desirable)
