About the Role
As a Data Center Operations Manager at Microsoft, you will play a critical role in delivering the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for our online services. Our datacenter portfolio consists of over 200 facilities in 32 countries, with millions of servers. We prioritize environmental sustainability and optimization in our design and operations, driving growth and innovation as we meet evolving business demands.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a team of technicians to ensure the delivery of critical environment maintenance services, including HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and controls.
- Oversee the inspection and maintenance of facility equipment, identifying trends and developing procedures to ensure optimal performance.
- Monitor and analyze telemetry data to identify potential issues and optimize maintenance schedules.
- Utilize our internal CMMS to track equipment assets and complete work orders, generating reports to identify outstanding and ongoing work.
- Develop and maintain emergency operating procedures, methods of procedure, and standard operating procedures to ensure incident response and resolution.
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely and effective delivery of services.
Requirements
- Technical degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Fluent in English and Portuguese.
- Experience managing people or a team.
- 5+ years of experience in building maintenance in critical environments.
- Ability to work on site in Campinas, State of Sao Paulo, 5 days a week.
