The International Imports team at Amazon seeks a skilled Vendor Manager to drive business growth and vendor relationships. As a key member of the team, you will play a vital role in driving selection, analyzing business data, and negotiating terms to enhance vendor onboarding and promotions.

About the Role

This dynamic position requires close collaboration with Brazilian and global vendors to improve terms, analyze projections, and negotiate directly with decision-makers. Your focus will be on increasing product category sales through strategic store marketing promotions, negotiating partners to improve selection, and reacting to industry-related economic trends.

Key Responsibilities
  • CUSTOMERS: Rely on specialized teams for customer and category information and insights, and influence other teams to address category-specific customer needs.
  • VENDORS: Own the vendor relationship, focusing on top vendors that drive sales. You are responsible for auditing and escalating performance, improving terms and cost structures through negotiation, and developing long-term partnerships with new and existing vendors.
  • CENTRAL AND FUNCTIONAL TEAMS: Represent customer and business needs in interaction with central teams, projects, and initiatives. Drive central teams to evolve customer-facing and internal systems to improve the customer experience from the category perspective.
A Day in the Life

Vendor Managers manage inputs by driving selection, securing great prices, and increasing convenience/speed to accelerate Amazon's flywheel.

Basic Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience: Team management experience, account management, project or program management, buying experience, experience with vendor negotiations, pricing and promotion or inventory management, Master's degree, knowledge of Microsoft Access or SQL, experience using data to influence business decisions, experience driving internal cross-team collaboration, experience with business analysis and P&L management.

Preferred Qualifications

Desirable Skills and Experience: Experience managing large data sets and utilizing them to drive performance and process improvements, experience in vendor negotiations, pricing and promotion, inventory management, and product development.
