We are seeking a skilled Cloud Solutions Architect to join our team at IBM. As a key member of our software technology expert labs, you will be responsible for driving the adoption of IBM Automation Software by delivering services opportunities for installation, configuration, and customization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with clients to determine their needs and consultatively advise them on the best solutions.
  • Leverage technologies, architectures, integrations, and tooling to define the appropriate solution.
  • Define activity descriptions and work breakdown structures for inclusion in contracts.
  • Estimate work breakdowns sufficient for service sellers to price delivery contracts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field; a master's degree is preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in a solution architect role.
  • Strong understanding of software development methodologies and technologies.
  • Ability to interface directly with customers in face-to-face and/or remote engagements.
  • Proven track record in documenting and sizing services-focused solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Additional skills in networking, storage, infrastructure, DBA, ECM, and AI are desired.
  • Efficiency in Agile development skills, tooling, and methodologies.
  • Knowledgeable in software engineering, including API and microservice development.
