We are seeking a skilled professional to fill the role of Backend Software Engineer.

Job Description

The ideal candidate will have experience in designing, building, and maintaining efficient, reusable, and reliable code across backend systems.

This position involves collaborating with a cross-functional team of engineers, designers, and product leaders to build scalable infrastructure, optimize data pipelines, and drive innovation using emerging AI technologies.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop robust APIs (GraphQL/OpenAPI) to support mobile and web applications.
  • Integrate AI tools (e.g., LLMs, vector search, embeddings) to accelerate product features and development workflow.
  • Collaborate on architecture decisions, scaling infrastructure, and ensuring security best practices.
  • Identify and eliminate performance bottlenecks, bugs, and inefficiencies.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • 5+ years of experience in backend API development using Ruby on Rails.
  • Strong experience in full stack development (bonus: Python, TypeScript, JavaScript).
  • Proficiency with GraphQL, OpenAPI, and RESTful architectures.
  • Advanced knowledge of Ruby 3, Rails 7, and PostgreSQL/MySQL.
