Logistics Coordinator

The primary objective of this role is to oversee and manage customs and general cargo procedures related to wind turbines and their components within wind sites in Brazil and other South American countries.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate with the transport team to ensure timely delivery of services at client sites.
• Support the creation and control of transport budgets to optimize logistics costs.
• Work closely with stakeholders to improve transportation operations, meet KPIs, and reduce overall logistics and customs costs.
• Provide guidance, assistance, and advice to internal clients on operational matters.
• Coordinate shipments with involved stakeholders to ensure proper tracking and reporting.
• Ensure customs and tax compliance by interacting with brokers, freight forwarders, and transport companies.
• Approach domestic deliveries effectively and ensure that all logistic service providers (LSPs) follow safety procedures.
• Plan and coordinate reverse logistics for transporting equipment back to factories.
• Investigate and resolve delivery and transport quality issues, monitor risks, and report findings.
• Manage supplier performance and extract SAP reports to update KPIs.
• Audit invoices and control payments for nominated service providers.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business or International Studies/Foreign Trade preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience in customs and logistics, preferably in the region.
• Comprehensive knowledge of logistics operations and practices, with expertise in customs clearance, mainly in Brazil.
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Advanced English language skills, both written and spoken. Spanish fluency is also required.
• Understanding of international trade terminology and familiarity with SAP systems.
