Senior Financial Planning and Analysis Specialist

Organon is seeking a highly skilled Senior FP&A Specialist to play a critical role in the financial planning, analysis, and business decision-making processes for our Brazilian subsidiary.
This role requires a deep understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, coupled with strong analytical capabilities and excellent business partnering skills. The incumbent will be responsible for driving financial performance by providing actionable insights, supporting strategic initiatives, and ensuring the alignment of financial goals with the company's overall strategy.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes for the Brazilian subsidiary.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements.
- Identify trends, risks, and opportunities to optimize financial performance and provide actionable insights to senior management.
- Develop financial models and scenario analysis to support business decisions and strategic initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Commercial, Operations, and Supply Chain, to drive financial performance and operational efficiency.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to business leaders by providing financial expertise and guidance on key business decisions.
- Support the development of business cases for new product launches, pricing strategies, and market expansion initiatives.
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with local and global accounting standards and corporate policies.
- Prepare financial presentations and reports for senior leadership, including regional and global headquarters.
- Liaise with external auditors, tax authorities, and other regulatory bodies as required.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of FP&A activities.
- Leverage technology and best practices to streamline reporting processes and improve data accuracy.
- Monitor and assess financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate potential impacts on business performance.
- Support the Finance Director in managing the subsidiary's financial risks, including currency exchange, credit, and operational risks.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. A Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CFA, CPA, CIMA) is preferred.
- 5-10 years of progressive experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), preferably within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
- Superior analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
- Strong business acumen and the ability to influence business decisions through effective financial partnering.
- Proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and financial planning tools (e.g., Hyperion, Anaplan).
- Fluency in Portuguese and English is required.
- Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Collaborative team player with the ability to build strong relationships across functions and levels.
