Key Responsibilities- Project Management: Oversee the management and control of major capital projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Technical Management: Provide technical guidance and support to project teams, ensuring that projects are executed in accordance with industry best practices and company policies.
- Site Construction Management: Manage the construction process, including site preparation, civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical system installation.
- Project Estimating and Implementation: Develop and manage project estimates, budgets, and forecasts, ensuring that projects are delivered within budget and on schedule.
- Reporting and Administrative Functions: Ensure accurate and timely reporting, including project status updates, financial reports, and other administrative tasks.
- Customer Relations: Establish and maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring that their needs are met and that they are satisfied with the project outcomes.
- Operational Planning: Develop and implement operational plans, ensuring that projects are executed efficiently and effectively.
- Contract Management: Negotiate and manage contracts with vendors, suppliers, and contractors, ensuring that they are fair, reasonable, and in the best interests of the company.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering preferred.
- Experience: At least 10 years of experience managing major capital projects, with at least 5 years' experience in the cement industry.
- Travel: Ability to travel extensively, with a minimum of 50% of the time spent on project sites.
- Skills: Demonstrated performance in managing capital projects with values in excess of $25 million, knowledgeable in engineering management, construction management, construction execution, and cement plant operations, Microsoft Office Products, AutoCAD, and general computer proficiency.
