Job Title: Consultant on Sustainable Cities and Communities

Job Summary:

The United Nations is seeking a highly skilled Consultant to work on a project focused on Sustainable Cities and Communities. The Consultant will be responsible for producing an analysis of the current state of Sustainable Cities and Communities in the Municipality of Juiz de Fora, Brazil, based on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), the New Urban Agenda (NUA), the Public Policy Observatory of Juiz de Fora, and other good practices from Brazil and around the world.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research and analysis on Sustainable Cities and Communities in the Municipality of Juiz de Fora, Brazil
  • Develop a comprehensive report on the current state of Sustainable Cities and Communities, including recommendations for improvement
  • Collaborate with the operational and technical teams of UN-Habitat offices in Juiz de Fora and Rio de Janeiro
  • Support the Observatory as a tool for monitoring and evaluating public policies

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Urban Planning, Sustainable Development, or a related field
  • At least 5 years of experience in urban planning, sustainable development, or a related field
  • Excellent research and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

Working Arrangements:

The Consultant will work on a freelance basis, with a flexible schedule and remote work arrangements.
