Global Supply Chain Professional Needed to Drive Import Operations
The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating import operations, ensuring timely delivery of goods and managing logistics. This role involves running reports in the SAP system, analyzing data, and making informed decisions to optimize inventory levels and prevent stockouts.
Key responsibilities include:
- Running weekly or daily reports in the SAP system to identify purchase orders requiring earlier delivery;
- Converting order proposals into purchase orders, taking into consideration current inventory, open sales orders, forecast, and lead time of sourced finished goods;
- Adjusting or modifying purchase orders as required, based on changes in forecast, late shipments, etc.;
- Communicating with sourcing plants, freight forwarders, and drayage providers to expedite shipments and resolve issues related to material supply;
- Monitoring shipments throughout arrival at destination using a subscription-based tool that consolidates information from multiple shipping companies in one place;
