The RoleWe're seeking a contractor position of MoonBit Developer Relations (DevRel) Advocate to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for promoting our technology to a broad audience.
As a DevRel Advocate, you will serve as a crucial link between our engineering team and the community.
You're welcome to work remotely.
Your Responsibilities- Produce content that effectively promotes MoonBit. This content may include, but is not limited to, how-to guides, tutorials, and blog posts around topics such as programming language design, AI/ML, cloud & edge services, DevOps, and more.
- Organize, drive, and participate in AI/cloud-native/coding meetups, webinars, hackathons, and conferences on behalf of MoonBit to promote its technological strengths and solutions as an AI-friendly programming language and development platform.
- Seek out collaborations with other related organizations to enhance the visibility and reach of MoonBit.
- Speak at conferences, contribute to events, and engage in communities like Stack Overflow and GitHub.
- At least 3 years' experience in a developer advocacy, technical evangelism, technical writing or similar role.
- Expertise in AI and cloud-native concepts, experience with modern programming languages (e.g., Rust, Go) and AI coding tools (e.g., Cursor, Copilot).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to explain complex technical concepts in a clear and accessible manner.
- Proven experience in community building and engagement.
- Experience in open-source communities.
- Ideally working knowledge of developer tools like SDKs, APIs, LLMs, and have experience of writing code sample projects, demos, or tutorials for two of these languages: JavaScript, Python, Rust, C#, Go, or OCaml.
$30-$60/hour
