About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing software solutions for our IoT and machine learning platforms. This will involve working closely with cross-functional teams to identify business needs and develop innovative solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Design and develop high-quality software solutions using industry-standard programming languages and frameworks.
  2. Collaborate with product teams to identify business needs and develop solutions that meet those needs.
  3. Perform analysis and estimation of work to ensure timely delivery of projects.
  4. Develop and maintain software architecture and design artifacts to ensure consistency and quality.

Requirements

  1. 1-5 years of professional software development experience.
  2. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Programming, or a related field.
  3. Proficiency in at least one major object-oriented language (e.g. C# or Java).
  4. Demonstrated experience writing testable code.
  5. Good written and interpersonal skills.
  6. English for verbal and written collaboration with international teams.

Desired Skills

  1. Demonstrated knowledge of software engineering best practices, including patterns and anti-patterns.
  2. Experience developing and troubleshooting on a resource-constrained embedded platform.
  3. Experience with core web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
  4. Familiarity with frameworks such as ASP.NET MVC and Spring.
  5. Experience with computer networking and the TCP/IP stack.
  6. Experience with database development and ORM frameworks (e.g. Entity Framework, JPA, or Hibernate).
  7. Familiarity with both Windows and Linux.
  8. Knowledge of SDLC principles.
  9. Familiarity with Agile software development practices.
  10. Experience developing and delivering cross-platform solutions.
  11. Familiarity with containers and related technologies (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes).
  12. Familiarity with message brokers such as RabbitMQ, Kafka, and ZeroMQ.
  13. Familiarity with serial communication and tools (CAN, Socket, RS485, RS 232, etc.).
