Legal and Regulatory Expert

We are seeking a seasoned Legal and Regulatory expert to join our team. As a Senior Attorney, you will provide critical legal and regulatory support for the covered lines of business, including Payments, Corporate Treasury Services, Escrow Services, and Trade Finance.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Reviewing, drafting, and negotiating documents related to the covered lines of business;
  • Staying abreast of key regulatory agendas impacting our business, supporting regulators and the market innovation agenda, advising and interpreting regulations, and assessing legal risks;
  • Participating in regional and global initiatives, including NBIA assessments, and the development of templates, know-how, best practices, and procedures;
  • Providing support in the negotiation of facilities and deals, including lending, trade finance, supply chain finance, receivables finance, and bank guarantees;
  • Supporting the larger banking team, when needed, with respect to other products and services, as well as various institutional matters;
  • Providing legal and regulatory support in connection with the covered lines of business.

The ideal candidate will have at least 7 years of legal experience in payments, cash management, or bank regulatory, with experience in trade finance. They should be licensed attorneys in Brazil, fluent in English, and possess strong regulatory backgrounds.

In addition to technical expertise, the successful candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills, both written and oral, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with internal stakeholders.
