Job Overview

As a Field Application Engineer (FAE), you will be responsible for delivering technical support to customers who are designing with microcontrollers, power devices, and sensors. This role is based in Brazil and requires frequent travel within the country and occasionally to other Latin American markets to ensure GigaDevice maintains a strong presence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide on-site and virtual technical support to customers.
  • Engage with customers to understand their design requirements and identify new business opportunities.
  • Serve as the primary technical driver for design-in to design-win conversion.
  • Deliver training sessions to customers, partners, and distributors.
  • Gather competitive and market intelligence.
  • Develop application notes and contribute to product qualification activities.
  • Maintain expertise in embedded systems and MCU products.
Qualifications
  • Prior experience in the electronics industry with a focus on Arm Cortex-M based microcontroller products is required.
  • You must have strong C/C++ coding skills and knowledge of operating systems such as FreeRTOS.
  • Familiarity with IDE tools like Keil uVision v5 and IAR Embedded Workbench is essential.
  • Ability to read electronic design schematics and use measurement instruments is necessary.
  • Experience with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and Motor Control solutions is desired.
  • You should be analytical, self-motivated, and possess excellent interpersonal skills.
  • A willingness to travel regionally to support customers is required.
  • Excellent communication skills in Portuguese and English are essential; Spanish is a plus.
  • You must have high integrity, be proactive, results-driven, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field is required; a Master's degree is preferred.
