Senior Shopify Developer Position

The ideal candidate will be a seasoned developer with a strong background in Shopify development, who can provide first-level technical support, troubleshoot critical issues, and escalate as needed.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing technical support for Shopify-related issues;
  • Conducting incident analysis, postmortems, and documenting resolutions to drive continuous improvement;
  • Collaborating with product management and business partners on system capabilities, design, and solutions;
  • Working with development teams to ensure technical requirements are met, best practices are followed, performance is optimized, and security is ensured;
  • Supporting project management with effort estimates, planning, and removing technical roadblocks;
  • Developing key system components, identifying reusable modules, and optimizing delivery time;
  • Researching platform capabilities and opportunities for the eCommerce roadmap;
  • Performing code analysis, developing patches, and implementing new platform features;
  • Participating in code reviews, unit testing, and technical validation of updates.

Requirements:

  • At least 4 years of experience in Shopify development, with knowledge of Shopify Plus;
  • A solid understanding of the Systems Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and methodologies;
  • Flexibility to work occasional overtime shifts within a 24/7 support environment;
  • Experience troubleshooting site issues using various tools;
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical skills, and attention to detail;
  • Experience with page performance optimization and secure development practices;
  • Knowledge of front-end caching, CDNs, and request-response flow;
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems like Jira;
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills;
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team;
  • Patient, empathetic, and customer-first mindset;
  • Continuous learning mindset and adaptability to new technologies and procedures;
  • Upper-Intermediate English level.

Nice to Have:

  • Previous experience in customer service or technical support;
  • Salesforce Cloud experience;
  • Proficiency in core JavaScript and front-end frameworks.
