Senior Technical Consultant Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Consultant to join our team and contribute to promoting sustainable human settlements and policies that ensure adequate housing for all.



Job Description

The successful candidate will play a key role in promoting sustainable human settlements and policies that lead to adequate housing for all. This involves working closely with local project teams, government officials, media, and civil society to support the implementation of projects and promote UN-Habitat's mandate in Brazil.

The Senior Technical Consultant will be responsible for:

  • Preparing and writing reports concerning the Middle Paraíba and Green Coast regions.
  • Collecting and analyzing information, data, and instruments from municipalities in the region, identifying gaps and areas for improvement.
  • Conducting field visits in each municipality, conducting interviews and technical visits in territories at high risk of disasters when necessary or requested by the Technical Coordinator.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, including data analysis and collection, excellent communication and writing skills, and experience working with government officials, media, and civil society. They will also have knowledge of disaster risk reduction and climate change adaptation strategies.
