As our new Trader, you will join a small and engaged team in Rio de Janeiro. This is your chance to participate in developing the office further and support the growth we foresee in Brazil.

Our trading team in Brazil works closely with our sister office in Panama. All together we are a team of 23 Traders and 2 Trading Assistants, covering the Americas.

You will have an in-depth introduction to our Trading and Operations setup in The Americas. Your primary role is day-to-day trading, covering sales and purchase of bunker fuel.

Additionally, your role will be to support our daily operations such as ensuring smooth bunker deliveries to our clients in Brazil.

You will be in contact with suppliers, customers, crew, and terminals within the Brazilian market as you develop original and enterprising solutions.

It is essential that you have a determined mindset, are able to generate business opportunities and engage with business partners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain a solid and stable portfolio of customers.
  • Ensure optimal customer satisfaction by building solid personal relations and providing specialist advice in bunker solutions.
  • Liaise with key accounts on orders and physical supply coordination.
  • Build and nurture personal relations with our suppliers, customers, and other business partners.
  • Provide internal support by surveying ports/regions, tracking vessel movements, and coordinating fuel delivery.
  • Coordinate and maintain the overview of bunker deliveries on a daily basis.
Requirements

- Relevant education at minimum bachelor level.

- Experience from the shipping, maritime, or oil industry especially in bunker trading and/or supply is advantageous.

- Sales or customer relationship management experience.

- Fluent in written/oral English and Portuguese.
