Sales Support Team Leader

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sales Support Team Leader to join our team at Wallenius Wilhelmsen. As a key member of our Sales Support team, you will be responsible for overseeing all customer processes and controls, ensuring seamless customer support, intelligence, and contract fulfillment for all accounts handled by the team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support the Sales Support Documentation team/Cargo & Customer Coordination Team in achieving their goals and objectives.
  • Develop and empower team members through dialogue, mentoring, and example-based leadership.
  • Coordinate shipments for designated customers, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
  • Maintain and follow up on contracts to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Supervise shipments to ensure specific requirements are met and all internal preparations are done for cargo loading.
  • Develop and maintain revenue and volume forecasts per vessel/period.
  • Align with trade for allocation follow-up and cargo readiness management.
  • Support team members and attend meetings with customers as needed.
  • Participate in projects development, process discussions, and regular conference calls with trade, operations, commercial, etc.
  • Monitor and follow up on documentation KPIs to ensure high-quality Bill of Lading release.
  • Provide documentation expertise on export and import shipments.
  • Align with all areas and stakeholders, including documentation, trade, operations, cargo quality, claims, sales, port operator, terminal, etc.
  • Manage equipment inventory and availability.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Advanced Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • English fluency.
  • Ability to collaborate and cooperate within and across teams to complete tasks within a project team.
  • Demonstrated initiative and a proactive approach.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage conflict.
  • Travel availability.
