Quantitative Analyst Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Quantitative Analyst to join our team. This role involves working across the organization to help shape business and technical strategies by processing, analyzing and interpreting large data sets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and clarify business or product questions to answer.
  • Use custom data infrastructure or existing data models as appropriate, using specialized knowledge.
  • Gather information, business goals, priorities, and organizational context around the questions to answer.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Economics, Operations Research, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
  • 5 years of work experience using analytics to solve product or business problems, coding (e.g., Python, R, SQL), querying databases or statistical analysis.
  • Ability to communicate in English and Portuguese fluently to support client relationship management in this region.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • PhD in Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Economics, Operations Research, Engineering, Compute Science, or a related quantitative field.
  • 8 years of work experience using analytics to solve product or business problems, coding (e.g., Python, R, SQL), querying databases or statistical analysis.
  • Excellent communication and team collaboration skills, especially in communicating technical and statistical concepts clearly and concisely among audiences at many different levels.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on Google's decision-making process. As a Quantitative Analyst, you will work closely with Engineers, Product Managers, Sales Associates and Marketing teams to adjust Google's practices according to your findings.
