The Accounts Payable Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all activities in the accounts payable function, including processes and systems to ensure accurate booking and payment of invoices within the team.
This role involves fostering a positive team environment, driving growth and development of the AP team, and holding the team accountable for performance to deliver results.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage staff and indirect staff (outsourced partner)
- Oversee all AP activities: timely and accurate invoice processing, vendor account reconciliation, month-end financials, payment of invoices, and reporting
- Lead M&A, ERP conversions, and integrations related to responsibilities
- Drive improvements in operational KPIs and team performance metrics
- Implement productivity improvements through standardization, streamlining, and automation of processes
- Enforce and enhance internal controls to ensure SOX compliance
- Collaborate with other areas such as BUs, GSM, vendors, and external partners
- Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office
- Mindset for continuous improvement and transformation
- Strong team-building and interpersonal skills
- Ability to mentor, reward, and appraise employees
