About the Role

As a Senior Backend Developer, you will lead backend development for a next-generation digital banking platform.

Key Responsibilities
  • API Design and Development: Design, build, and optimize scalable multi-tenant APIs for a digital banking system.
  • Security and Compliance: Implement secure account creation, transfers, and real-time banking dashboards.
  • API Architecture and Deployment: Lead API architecture discussions, testing, and deployments.
  • Mentorship and Coaching: Mentor and coach a growing engineering team, instilling best practices in backend systems.
  • Knowledge Sharing and Collaboration: Facilitate code reviews, technical discussions, and knowledge-sharing sessions.
  • Process Improvement: Challenge existing approaches and propose better architectural and technical solutions.
  • Event Streaming and Observability: Drive the adoption of event streaming (Kafka) for real-time transaction processing.
  • Monitoring and Logging: Implement strong monitoring, logging, and observability with tools such as Datadog or Grafana.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with frontend engineers to deliver seamless banking experiences.
  • Onboarding and Engineering Standards: Contribute to onboarding processes by setting up tools, frameworks, and engineering standards.
  • Stakeholder Management: Collaborate cross-functionally with stakeholders to ensure reliable and timely delivery.
