Climate Change Mitigation Specialist

At InPlanet, we are driving climate change mitigation through the development and execution of Life Cycle Assessments (LCAs) for Enhanced Rock Weathering projects. Our goal is to reverse climate change and make tropical agriculture more regenerative, low-carbon, and sustainable.

The ideal candidate will possess expertise in LCA methodologies and tools, as well as a strong understanding of ISO standards and GHG accounting protocols. They will have 7+ years of experience in carbon accounting and sustainability impact assessments, with knowledge of mining, agriculture, or supply chain sustainability being a significant plus.

The responsibilities of this role include conducting full LCAs, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, and quantifying the carbon footprint and co-benefits of our projects. The successful candidate will also be responsible for developing scalable LCA methodologies, integrating automation tools, and identifying opportunities for emissions reduction in our supply chain.

Key Responsibilities:

Requirements:
  • Proven experience with LCA methodologies and tools
  • Strong understanding of ISO standards and GHG accounting protocols
  • 7+ years of experience in carbon accounting and sustainability impact assessments
  • Knowledge of mining, agriculture, or supply chain sustainability
