Lead Android Developer Position

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Android Developer to spearhead our international mobile projects.

About the Job:

This is a 3 to 12-month contract, with potential for extension based on project requirements and performance. As a key member of our team, you will lead the development of durable, secure, scalable, and maintainable software code.

  • Achieve architectural excellence in networking and data modeling layers
  • Provide expert recommendations on solving platform-specific problems
  • Advocate for best practices and modular design patterns
  • Oversight of major feature deliveries and component ownership
  • Mentor junior developers
  • Collaborate and communicate with teams and clients in agile environments
Requirements:
  • 4+ years of professional programming experience
  • In-depth understanding of the Android development lifecycle and ecosystem
  • Familiarity with languages, frameworks, and libraries such as Java, Kotlin, Room, Coroutines/Flow, RxJava, Dagger 2, Gradle, Fragments, OkHttp3, Retrofit or Volley
  • Proficiency in IDEs, version control like Git, and/or command line tools
  • Experience with CI/CD and deployment pipeline setup
  • Familiarity with automated testing frameworks like Espresso, JUnit, Mockito/Mockk, and Appium
  • Expertise with Google APIs and SDKs
  • Hands-on experience with Hilt
  • Development experience across multiple Android platforms
  • Appreciation for inclusive and accessible UI implementations
  • Experience with Jetpack Compose
  • Knowledge of emerging technologies like Machine Learning, Voice, and/or AR/VR
  • Fluent English
