Job Description for Creditors Clerk at Pedros Chicken

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Creditors Clerk to join our team at Pedros Chicken. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for managing our accounts payable function, ensuring timely and accurate payments to our suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Accounts Payable Management: Process and reconcile supplier invoices, verify delivery notes, GRV's, and tax invoices, and ensure accurate allocations of transactions per GL coding.
  • Supplier Payments: Prepare and send payments to suppliers within credit terms, and reconcile supplier accounts to ensure accuracy.
  • Supplier Communication: Send proof of payments to suppliers and ensure the supplier age analysis is accurate and updated.
  • Financial Reporting: Provide regular financial reports to management, highlighting any discrepancies or areas for improvement.
Requirements:
  • 3 Years' experience in a similar role
  • Matric
  • Full MS Office
  • Sage 200 Evolution, Pastel Partner, or any similar accounting package
  • Sound understanding of the accounts payable function and a hands-on approach
  • Experienced on Sage 200 Evolution or similar package
  • Ability to communicate effectively
