At Encora, we're seeking a seasoned professional to spearhead the development and deployment of scalable and secure cloud-based infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing and implementing Kubernetes clusters, as well as expertise in Terraform and Terragrunt for AWS infrastructure provisioning. Additionally, they should be well-versed in building CI/CD pipelines using Harness and have strong scripting and automation skills using Python or Golang.

The Senior DevOps Engineer will play a pivotal role in ensuring smooth project execution by collaborating with cross-functional teams and providing on-call support. They will lead the design and management of highly available and scalable infrastructure, implement infrastructure as code using IaC tools, and champion a Git-first approach to infrastructure and CI/CD automation.

About This Role
  • Cloud-Native Experience: At least 3 years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or Platform Engineering roles supporting cloud-native applications.
  • Kubernetes Expertise: Extensive knowledge of Kubernetes (EKS), including Helm, networking, and security.
  • Terraform and Terragrunt Proficiency: Deep understanding of Terraform and Terragrunt for AWS infrastructure provisioning.
  • Pipeline Building Skills: Proven ability to build pipelines with Harness, Git, and associated CI/CD tooling.
  • Scripting and Automation Skills: Strong skills in scripting and automation using Python or Golang.
  • AWS Services Knowledge: Solid understanding of AWS services: EKS, EC2, S3, IAM, RDS, VPC, Route53, CloudWatch, etc.
  • Linux System Proficiency: Proficient with Linux systems, including performance tuning and troubleshooting.
  • Networking Fundamentals: Deep knowledge of networking fundamentals: DNS, TLS, HTTP/S, Load Balancing.
  • Ansible Experience: Experience with Ansible for configuration and provisioning.
  • Database Knowledge: Working knowledge of MySQL and PostgreSQL.
  • Monitoring and Logging Skills: Strong experience in monitoring, logging, and alerting, particularly using New Relic.
  • Pub/Sub Systems Knowledge: Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or other pub/sub systems is a plus.
