About the Role

The Logistics Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the logistics and transportation operations involving the Middle Mile segment of the supply chain. This role involves managing the movement of goods between distribution centers, fulfillment centers, and other key locations to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Strategies: Develop and implement strategies to optimize the Middle Mile supply chain operations, ensuring seamless coordination between distribution centers, fulfillment centers, and other key locations.
  • Coordinate with Carriers: Coordinate with carriers, freight forwarders, and transportation providers to ensure timely delivery of goods, maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Monitor Performance Metrics: Monitor transportation costs, performance metrics, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive efficiency and cost savings, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including warehouse operations, procurement, and inventory management, to streamline operations and improve supply chain efficiency.
  • Analyze Transportation Routes: Analyze transportation routes, modes of transport, and delivery schedules to improve service levels and reduce lead times, ensuring timely delivery of products.
  • Lead and Mentor a Team: Lead and mentor a team of logistics specialists and coordinators, providing guidance and support to ensure successful execution of logistics operations.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Experience: Proven experience in supply chain management, logistics, or transportation operations, with a focus on the Middle Mile segment.
  • Skills: Strong analytical skills and proficiency in transportation management systems (TMS) and supply chain software; excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Certifications: Certification in supply chain management or logistics (e.g., CSCMP, APICS) is a plus; experience with continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) is desirable.
