Junior Butler

The British High Commissioner's Residence is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Junior Butler to join their team. As a key member of the Residence staff, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service to the High Commissioner, their family, and guests.

• Implement operational and service compliance to ensure seamless delivery of events and services.
• Identify areas for improvement in quality of products and services, and implement necessary changes.
• Conduct regular rounds to maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization.
• Assist with inventory management, event setup, and housekeeping duties.
• Provide exceptional service during events, including cocktail events, tea, breakfast, lunch, dinner, and bar service.
• Greet and bid farewell to guests, and assist with luggage handling and other domestic duties.

• Minimum 1 year experience in a 4- or 5-star hotel or reputable establishment as a Butler or similar position.
• Hotel School Certificate in F&B/Kitchen and Housekeeping Departments.
• Diploma in Hospitality Management is an added qualification.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
• Proven ability to work independently and use initiative.
• Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure.

• Intermediate knowledge of spirits, wine, beer, and all beverages.
• Intermediate knowledge of food.
• Intermediate knowledge and skills in housekeeping.
• Intermediate knowledge of using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook (email).

The successful candidate will be required to work long hours, including evenings and weekends, as and when required. The role is full-time, fixed-term for 24 months, with a salary of LKR 62,979 + EPF 12% + ETF 3% per month.
