About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior PostgreSQL Database Engineer to join our SAP Commerce Cloud DevOps team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing solutions to support, operate, and manage our databases in a multi-tenant application for our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement efficient database solutions to support our customers.
  • Provide expert-level support and guidance to customers on database-related issues and performance bottlenecks.
  • Collaborate with other teams to define product enhancements and resolve specific issues.
  • Continuously improve existing processes and standards to ensure optimal database performance.
  • Document technical solutions and improve processes to ensure knowledge sharing and best practices.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Database Administrator or Database Engineer with a strong background in PostgreSQL databases.
  • Expertise in database management, data maintenance, and performance tuning.
  • Proficiency in PostgreSQL administration, including backup and recovery procedures, and database security.
  • Strong experience working on cloud platforms, particularly MS Azure or AWS.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers and across a dispersed team.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools for continuous integration and deployment.
