Job Description

We are seeking a skilled software engineer to join our team, working on the development and maintenance of open source certification tools. The successful candidate will be responsible for test automation tooling, supporting the creation of hardware solutions for test automation, and automating existing processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and develop new features to Python based test automation tools like Checkbox.\
  • Invent new ways to enable remote automated testing.\
  • Help build the software counterpart to in-house designed testing hardware to aid device enablement.\
  • Write functional and performance tests to support hardware enablement and protect against regressions.\
  • Participate in international meetings involving occasional travel.\
  • Collaborate with global distributed teams to ensure seamless project execution.\
  • Design and implement efficient testing frameworks to enhance software quality.\
  • Engage in knowledge sharing and skill enhancement through continuous learning opportunities.\
  • Contribute to the growth and development of the Certification team.\
  • Identify and resolve technical issues affecting project timelines and success.\
  • Develop and maintain documentation for test automation tools and processes.\
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and meet project objectives.\
  • Assist in the evaluation and implementation of new technologies to improve testing efficiency.\
  • Support the training and onboarding of new team members.\
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in test automation.\
  • Monitor and report on project progress, identifying areas for improvement.\
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, goals, and deliverables.\
  • Ensure compliance with company standards and best practices.\
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external partners.\
  • Contribute to the development of process improvements and propose new ideas.\
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of overall code quality.\
  • Support the organization's commitment to innovation and excellence.\
