Procurement Strategist Role Summary

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for an experienced procurement strategist to join our team as a Commodity Manager. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in purchasing, procurement, and materials management, with experience leading global teams to achieve savings.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing commodity strategies to achieve corporate, purchasing, and business line goals. You will work closely with cross-functional and cross-business audiences across regions to organize and lead commodity strategy meetings, develop scope of work for services and equipment, and support performance-based requirements regionally for assigned commodities.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement commodity strategies to achieve corporate, purchasing, and business line goals/objectives.
  2. Organize and lead commodity strategy meetings with cross-functional and cross-business audiences across regions.
  3. Support performance-based requirements regionally for assigned commodities, focusing on KPIs such as sourcing ratio, auction, savings %, working capital, and supplier rationalization.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, Materials Management, or Logistics; MBA preferred. CPM/CPIM certification is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years in Purchasing, Procurement, or Materials Management.
  • Experience with RFQ processes, data analysis, and commodity strategies.
  • Proven high-level negotiation and materials management experience.
