Job Opportunity: Medical Assistant

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to join our clinical team as a medical assistant. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting our medical staff, patients, and the infusion center by providing essential care services.

Your primary responsibilities will include greeting patients, assisting with scheduling, managing phone calls, processing payments, and ensuring efficient turnover of exam rooms. You will also be responsible for communicating pertinent patient data to providers and nurses, collecting and preparing lab specimens, and ordering supplies under the direction of your manager.

To succeed in this position, you must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with certification or registration as a medical assistant, CPR/BLS certification, and at least six months of clinical experience.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform various patient care activities, rendering quality care in accordance with standards of practice.
  • Room clinic patients, update patient charts, and communicate patient data to providers and nurses.
  • Provide administrative support, greet patients, assist with scheduling, manage phone calls, process payments, and ensure efficient exam room turnover.
  • Collect, prepare, and submit lab specimens, order supplies, and disinfect exam rooms.
  • Triage patient phone calls, messages, and documents, and maintain confidentiality of company and patient records.
Requirements:
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Certification or registration as a medical assistant.
  • CPR/BLS certification.
  • At least six months of clinical experience.
