Genomics Expert

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Genomics Expert to join our team at The Goddard School Of Grand Rapids (Knapp's Corner), MI. As a Genomics Expert, you will play a critical role in supporting our sales efforts with deep technical knowledge of our products and applications across the genomics and NGS workflow.

Key Responsibilities:

• Partner closely with sales executives as a product technical expert to support, drive, and close sales opportunities.
• Deliver platform demonstrations and in-depth presentations to customers and participate in trade shows, vendor shows, and technical/promotional seminars.
• Provide expert knowledge across the full range of SOPHiA GENETICS products and applications, including AI SaaS solutions to manage and interpret NGS biomarkers and laboratory preparation.
• Gather and share competitive market intelligence and drive continuous product development in collaboration with sales, marketing, and product management.
• Support our expansion into multimodal data, providing customer solutions across genomics, radiomics, proteomics, metabolomics, and transcriptomics.

Requirements:

• Previous industry experience in commercial technical support roles linked to genomics, including technical specialist, subject matter expert, field application specialist, or clinical application consultant.
• Deep knowledge and understanding of genomics, next-generation sequencing technologies, and related applications.
• Bachelor's or higher degree in a relevant scientific field such as molecular biology, genetics, biotechnology, or similar.
• Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex scientific concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and scientific advancements.
