Epic Games is seeking a talented Technical Artist to join our team of world-class artists and engineers. As a Technical Artist, you will play a crucial role in creating stunning visual effects and 3D models for our games.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create complex materials and textures for characters, weapons, and environments.
  • Develop and maintain workflows and tools for other artists to utilize when making unique assets.
  • Execute a range of visual effects styles from realistic to stylized.
  • Collaborate with engineers and artists to optimize content for multiple platforms.
Requirements:
  • A strong portfolio showcasing executed game tech art.
  • A good understanding of PBR principles and material editors.
  • The ability to pull together multiple asset types to create cohesive art for a game.
  • Experience with modeling and texturing packagers such as Substance Designer and Painter.
  • Secondary skills in areas such as modeling, skinning, animation, or lighting.
  • A desire to push the Unreal Engine further and explore new possibilities.
  • A willingness to work collaboratively with a team, supporting other content creators.
  • Familiarity with the Unreal 4 Engine art pipeline.
  • Experience working on multiple platforms.
  • Scripting experience in Blueprint or other.
