Job DescriptionWe're seeking a strategic thinker to join our team as a Senior Business Analyst. As a cross-functional liaison, you'll interact with various business stakeholders to understand client requirements and issues. You'll partner with Architects and technical leads to innovate solutions and create documentation to turn strategy into reality.
You'll be responsible for:
- eCommerce requirements gathering, analyzing, and documenting requirements for large-scale projects and managing the requirements scope.
- Successfully handling ambiguous situations and developing a practical plan to achieve clarity.
- Working with business stakeholders to translate business needs into business and functional requirements.
- Eliciting requirements using various methods, including interviews, document analysis, and requirements workshops.
- Acting as a product owner for the development and QA team, clarifying doubts, validating developed solutions, and providing demos to clients.
Other responsibilities include:
- Presenting solution alternatives to clients that meet their business requirements.
- Working in a globally distributed team model.
- Decomposing high-level business and user requirements into functional requirements or user stories.
- Representing requirements using alternative views, such as visual analysis models or prototypes.
- Leading requirements validation activities to confirm that a solution meets customer needs and achieves business objectives.
- Leading and facilitating ongoing requirements prioritization.
- Establishing and implementing effective requirements practices, including continuous improvement.
- Assisting product management in product planning through requirements development and analysis.
- Conducting research, analysis, and feasibility studies to establish the viability of requirements.
- Traveling to client sites as needed.
- Bringing best practices and support to other eCommerce teams as they relate to business knowledge and business processes.
We're looking for a candidate with:
- Experience in IT or eBusiness, including experience with e-commerce, web application development, or other eBusiness solutions.
- Strong facilitation and communication skills across business and technical audiences.
- Familiarity with a broad array of internet technologies and trends.
- Understanding of eCommerce internationalization and localization complexities.
- Experience in problem resolution with IT systems and individuals.
Additional qualifications include:
- Bachelor's degree in business, MIS, Computer Science, or related major.
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst.
- Experience with an enterprise class eCommerce platform.
- Familiarity with Agile development processes.
- Familiarity with Jira is desired.
- Knowledge of multiple vertical industries such as retail, b2b, CPG, and grocery is a plus.
- Excellent English Communication skills.
