Job DescriptionWe're seeking a highly skilled Data Platform Engineer Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our data engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining a high-performance data platform that meets the company's needs. This will involve working with stakeholders to understand their primary needs, proposing extensible, scalable, and incremental solutions, and conducting proof-of-concepts and benchmarks to determine the best tools for a given problem.
Responsibilities- Design and build a high-performance data platform that meets the company's needs
- Align with stakeholders to understand their primary needs and propose solutions
- Conduct proof-of-concepts and benchmarks to determine the best tools for a given problem
- Be a reference within the team on technical concepts, tools, and best coding practices
- Specialist in technologies, solutions, and concepts of Big Data (Spark, Hadoop, Hive, MapReduce) and multiple languages (YAML, Python)
- Proficiency in Python, or one of the major programming languages, and a passion for writing clean and maintainable code
- Understanding of the data lifecycle and concepts such as lineage, governance, privacy, retention, anonymization, etc.
- Excellent communication skills, proactively sharing and seeking context to collaborate with different teams
